We often hear of licensees who receive a visit from the Licensing Authority or Police and are found to be in breach of the Licensing Act but don’t even realise it!

Many a time the authorities will find offences such as failure to notify licensing authority of change in name or address of premises licence holder or designated premises supervisor (section 33 (6) of the Licensing Act 2003).

Did you know that it is an offence not to display the summary of your licence (or a certified copy) at the premises? or failing to keep the premises licence or certified copy of it at the premises (57(4))

Now while the offences may seem minor, it should be remembered that it’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the authorities digging deeper when they find minor breaches.

21st Century licensing offer a retainer service which includes a licensing audit of your premises and documents. We will assist in identifying issues and helping to address them before the authorities knock on your door.
